Origin-: Discovered by Mr. Mendez, A Peace corp worker ,in 1974, he gave it the name larimar….lari (after his daughter larisa) and Mar (from the Spanish name for sea) as the colors so resembled the sea which was so close in proximity.

Color-: Different shades and mixtures of blue and green white.

Synonyms-: Atlantis stone and Stefilia’s stone.

Hardness-: 7 on the Mohs scale with a monoclinic crystal structure.

Zodiac Sign-: Pisces.

Occurrence-: Dominican Republic in the Caribbean Sea on the island of Hispaniola, Europe that this type of blue Pectolite is  found.
